Blipmaps (thermal strength maps)

{*} Dr. Jack's blipmaps provide a useful forecast for thermal activity across North America, including our region in the north-east. Some of the reports require a subscription but others are freely available. To access the pages you will need to register and permit a cookie to be deposited by your browser. The site is a little untidy, but persevere because the rewards are there.

Glider polar comparison spreadsheet.

(!) This spreadsheet provides an easy method of analysing and comparing the polar information of many gliders. The data is presented in tabular and graphical form, and probably for more circumstances than you care to know of!
